Our client is a large Canadian asset based transportation company. They are looking for a Director, Human Resources responsible for supporting and guiding their Ontario-based divisions. Much of the focus is on Labour Relations in this role, given than the majority of their operations are unionized. The client’s ideal candidate possesses 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations, experience working with multiple Collective Agreements and experience in transportation industry is an asset. You should have knowledge and experience with both Federal and Provincial Employment Legislation. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding the Ontario-based divisions on matters such as: Collective Agreement renewal negotiation, interpretation and administration which includes research and grievance handling, management of disability and Worker’s Compensation claims, general recruitment as well as assisting divisions with their overall Human Resources matters and other special projects You will have a Post-secondary education in Human Resources / Labour Relations and / or a CHRL/CHRP designation.
