As Director, Operations, you will oversee a major regional portfolio, providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership to align day-to-day operations with organizational goals. You’ll ensure the highest standards of performance in customer service, driver engagement, fleet utilization, and profitability—while fostering a positive and empowered team culture. This GTA-based role offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact through operational innovation, team leadership, and forward-thinking execution across a dynamic, asset-based network. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and inspire a high-performing operations team, focusing on service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement -Drive accountability for key operational metrics, including service levels, fleet productivity, equipment utilization, and driver retention -Recruit, develop, and mentor top talent, creating an environment that supports professional growth and team success -Ensure alignment with company policies, programs, and strategic objectives through effective delegation and communication -Oversee day-to-day management of equipment programs, ensuring optimized use and reliability across the division -Build strong collaboration across internal departments, ensuring seamless communication between operations, drivers, and support teams -Contribute to executive initiatives and special projects to advance organizational performance and innovation What You Bring: -5–8+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or a related operational environment -Proven ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced, complex business setting -Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation -Deep understanding of transportation trends, competitive dynamics, and operational best practices -Strong business acumen, sense of urgency, and passion for achieving tangible results -A hands-on, approachable leadership style that motivates others to reach their potential -Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities -This is an ideal role for a strategic and people-driven operations leader looking to join a progressive organization that values collaboration, integrity, and excellence If you’re ready to lead with purpose and help shape the future of transportation in North America, let’s connect!
