Our client is a mid-sized trucking business located in the Oshawa area. They are an asset-based carrier. It has roughly 25 trucks and runs two major corridors: GTA to Philadelphia and GTA to Montreal. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years experience to be a hands-on Head Dispatcher. Your role will include all facets of dispatching • Daily planning of drivers, trucks, trailers and scheduling of loads. • Coordinating loading of trucks by warehouse staff • Booking delivery and pick up appointments • Dealing directly with customers regarding orders and changes • Monitoring and managing drivers hours of service • Monitoring and managing dispatch office and staff You will have good experience in the dispatch space, working with both domestic and cross border shipments; handling both LTL and FTL freight.
