Warehouse Manager
Reimer Associates is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, high-volume distribution organization for a Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day performance and operational success of a busy warehouse environment. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who can drive productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, staffing, equipment performance, and team engagement. The opportunity Reporting to a senior regional operations leader, the Warehouse Manager will oversee core warehouse functions, including receiving, order assembly, inventory control, and equipment management. The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Leading daily warehouse operations and balancing workload across key functional areas • Reviewing productivity results and operational performance with supervisory staff • Coaching, developing, and supporting supervisors and warehouse teams • Conducting daily huddles, providing performance feedback, and supporting ongoing training • Managing staffing levels, scheduling, time approvals, and vacation planning • Reviewing operational projections and adjusting resources to meet changing workload requirements • Maintaining strong communication with frontline teams, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership • Reviewing checklists, resolving outstanding issues, and reporting operational successes and challenges • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, and operational standards • Working with internal safety and compliance partners to address risks and maintain a safe work environment • Overseeing warehouse security systems and ensuring facilities, inventory areas, and vehicles remain secure • Supporting budget accountability and operational cost expectations • Managing warehouse equipment and material-handling assets, including maintenance, documentation, and replacement planning • Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, KPI monitoring, and investigation of discrepancies • Monitoring performance indicators such as accuracy, pick errors, productivity, and cost per unit • Responding to emergent operational issues and supporting business continuity What you bring The ideal candidate is a capable warehouse or distribution leader with a strong background in team management, operational performance, and continuous improvement. You will bring: • At least four years of relevant warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience • At least two years of management or supervisory experience • Strong knowledge of receiving, order assembly, inventory control, and warehouse equipment management • Experience leading supervisors and frontline warehouse teams • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, time-tracking systems, and productivity reporting tools • The ability to interpret operational data and use KPIs to improve performance • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team-development skills • A thorough understanding of workplace health and safety, compliance, and warehouse security practices • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Excellent communication skills across frontline, leadership, and cross-functional environments • Strong organizational and planning capabilities, with the ability to manage staffing, workload, and shifting priorities • A high school diploma or GED Additional training or certifications related to warehouse safety, equipment operation, WHMIS, transportation, or leadership would be considered an asset Why consider this role?
