Vice President, Transportation & Supply Chain Workforce Development

National | Fixed-term (~3 years) | Hybrid with travel Our client has a wonderful opportunity to lead a national, multi-stakeholder workforce initiative spanning trucking, rail, marine/ports, air cargo, and logistics. This role is ideal for a senior supply chain or transportation leader who knows how to bring diverse stakeholders together, build alignment across competing priorities, and convert strategy into practical outcomes. You’ll work closely with employers, labour, training partners, and government to help shape workforce solutions for Canada’s transportation and supply chain ecosystem. What you’ll do: • Lead the delivery of national workforce development and a multi-year action plan • Build strong relationships across industry, labour, and government • Oversee mode-based task forces and cross-sector collaboration • Support practical workforce initiatives, pilots, and program delivery • Manage a small team and help define long-term structure and priorities • Ensure accountability through reporting, labour market intelligence, and performance tracking What you bring: • Senior leadership experience in transportation, supply chain, workforce development, or a related sector • Proven ability to work across complex stakeholder groups with diplomacy and influence • Strong execution mindset with experience turning strategy into action • Credibility with C-suite and senior public-sector leaders • A collaborative, politically astute operator with a broad network and a systems-thinking approach This is a hands-on leadership role in a highly visible national initiative with real sector impact.
