Our client is a very successful industry leading multi modal logistics provider based in Cambridge ON. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Director of Risk, Safety and Quality to their team. The Director, Risk, Safety and Quality will guide, strengthen, and safeguard a growing transportation and logistics operation across over-the-road, ocean, rail, and air freight. This is a critical leadership role for someone who can bring rigorous regulatory compliance, proactive safety protocols, and a culture of continuous quality improvement to a fast-paced freight environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on senior leader who can manage daily compliance, risk mitigation, and claims management while building scalable safety systems, developing personnel, improving corporate governance, and protecting the company's profitability and reputation. This opportunity is a strong fit for an executive who deeply understands transportation safety regulations (DOT, FMCSA, international freight compliance), risk management, carrier vetting, cargo claims, and service quality control. The ideal candidate is a senior logistics risk and safety executive who has experience protecting a complex, service-driven transportation operation. They will balance regulatory rigor with a practical understanding of commercial realities, working comfortably with internal teams, legal counsel, insurance partners, and corporate leadership. They will bring exceptional regulatory judgment, practical root-cause problem-solving skills, and the leadership presence needed to instill a proactive safety culture across the organization. Candidates should have 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation safety, risk management, corporate compliance, or quality assurance within logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations coupled with 5+ years of experience leading safety and compliance teams or corporate risk departments.
