The Director, National Logistics role offers the chance to shape and elevate a national logistics function operating within a multi-hub courier and inter-site transfer model, where service reliability, operational discipline, and customer impact are critical. The mandate includes building team capability, strengthening performance management, and driving measurable improvements in efficiency, service quality, and accountability across the network, with strong ownership of customer-facing turnaround times. Opportunity Overview This is a critical national leadership role responsible for driving logistics strategy, operational excellence, and service performance across a multi-site footprint. The position will lead transformation initiatives, optimize processes, strengthen performance management, and ensure a scalable, compliant, and customer-focused logistics operation. You will play a key role in building a high-performing team culture, aligning stakeholders, and advancing a logistics platform that supports long-term growth. The mandate is both strategic and hands-on, with responsibility for execution, accountability, and measurable results. Key Leadership Mandate • Lead national logistics operations with full accountability for service, cost, compliance, and performance. • Develop and execute strategies that improve efficiency, standardize processes, and support scalable growth across multiple hubs. • Build and coach a strong leadership team with a focus on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Strengthen performance management through clear KPIs, service-level expectations, and operational reviews. • Partner across functions to support business continuity, vendor performance, and customer satisfaction. • Champion change, innovation, and a culture of operational excellence. What You Bring • 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, operations, or other complex service-based environments. • Strong background in strategic planning, operational execution, and performance improvement. • Demonstrated success leading teams in multi-site or national operations. • Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels. • Experience managing service standards, vendor relationships, and compliance requirements. • Unionized environment experience is considered an asset. • Post-secondary education in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
