Our client is a well-established and very successful Canadian asset based trucking and transportation company providing FTL, LTL and Warehousing services across Canada and the US. Due to continued growth, they are in need of an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller supports financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and year-end audit activities while overseeing day-to-day AP/AR operations and related accounting functions. The role also provides financial and operational analysis to improve profitability and cost control and leads process improvement and integration projects. The right person will have a CPA designation and possess well developed leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and problem solving skills and a high degree of attention to detail. Strong Excel skills, analytical ability, and a proactive, technology-focused approach are essential.
