Senior Director, Parts Distribution
Our client is a market leader in designing and delivering innovative asset management solutions for the heavy-duty trucking industry. They are currently seeking a Senior Director, Parts Distribution reporting to the SVP of Operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the distribution of truck, vocational, and trailer parts, playing a crucial role in the company's supply chain and logistics operations. Ideal candidates should possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in parts distribution and supply chain management, and a deep understanding of the trucking and vocational vehicle industry. You are likely a Senior Service Parts Leader at a large motor carrier, OEM or truck dealership group. The ability to drive operational efficiency, implement innovative solutions, and adapt to changing business needs will be key to excelling in this role. Role Responsibilities: - Develop and execute strategic plans for parts distribution operations - Optimize inventory management and optimize stock levels across distribution centers - Implement and maintain quality control measures for parts handling and distribution - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency - Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners - Analyze market trends and customer demands to forecast parts requirements - Lead and mentor a team of distribution professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred - 10+ years of experience in parts distribution, preferably in the trucking or automotive industry - Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a senior management role - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Your reward for performance is a market leading compensation and benefits package along with the opportunity to work alongside a talented team of colleagues that are reshaping the transportation maintenance landscape.
