General Manager

To drive this continued growth story they are looking to add an experienced GTA based General Manager to their Central Ontario organization. The successful candidate will be well networked in the transportation space, bringing extensive exposure to transportation networks and industry relationships, crucial for both operational and commercial success. Scope of Opportunity: -Oversee the inventory and availability of trailers and equipment to consistently meet customer demand. -Develop and execute marketing strategies to maximize asset utilization and capture new market opportunities. -Ensure all equipment complies with federal and state regulations, coordinating servicing and maintenance. -Lead and develop a diverse team, fostering skills growth to uphold exceptional service standards. -Manage the full customer leasing lifecycle, including contract negotiation, invoicing, and collections. -Set competitive market pricing and implement strategies to achieve revenue and utilization targets. -Build, maintain, and grow the customer base to enhance market penetration and business profitability. -Collaborate with peers to share best practices, optimize operations, and fulfill customer orders efficiently. Required Skills and Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related discipline preferred. -8-10 years of hands-on experience in transportation, equipment leasing, or related marketing and service roles. -Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills with acute attention to detail. -Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and operational dashboard tools. -Experienced in budgeting, financial oversight, and performance monitoring. -Valid driver’s license required. -Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
