To support their exemplary growth they are seeking a Director, Transportation Operations to lead the day-to-day activities including Customer Service, Terminal Operations Managers, Planning, and Dispatch. The position requires regular interaction with customers to strengthen business relationships and ensure effective implementation of transportation services. Key responsibilities include balancing high service levels with cost efficiency, managing driver relations, monitoring fleet suitability, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards. The Director will also oversee the use of technology, develop a winning team, and actively participate in strategic sales cycles for both customer acquisition and retention. To excel in this role, you will need excellent leadership and analytical skills, previous experience in a leadership role within the Trucking/Transportation industry, and, proficiency in MS Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to handle multiple projects, and experience with budget planning and P&L responsibility are also essential. Additionally, you have a high degree of professionalism, excellent customer service skills, exposure leading within a unionized environment along with a minimum 10 years of Transportation Industry experience.
