Position: VP Accounting & Admin

Our client is a very large division (>$500 million) of a larger transportation group. They are looking for a VP Accounting & Admin. This is essentially to manage all of the accounting, financial reporting and budgeting / forecasting for the division. Provide leadership to ensure that financial statements completed on a timely basis, coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles and in accordance with corporate requirements. Lead, guide and mentor administrative staff in their tasks and functions. Supervise payroll, vendor payments, accounts receivable and payable functions. You will have 8 direct reports and a total staff in the range of 100 people. You should have a a CPA (preferred) , with Five (5) to Ten (10) years’ experience in a mid to senior level finance or accounting position and a Degree in Accounting or Finance / Business with strong Accounting experience You should be especially strong in your ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. You should also have a working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
