Director of Sales, Eastern Region Mississauga, ON The primary objective of the Director of Sales, Eastern Region is to lead the day-to-day business development activities for the Eastern Region and to manage and develop customer relationships for the growth and success of the company. The Director of Sales, Eastern Region will ensure program objectives/goals are met and will cultivate relationships, provide leadership, supervision and support. Responsibilities: • Assist the SVP, Sales & Marketing in developing a strategic plan that establishes vision and direction for the assigned region. • Provide leadership, support, and direction to his/her team and review performance measures with each team member to ensure KPI's and overall company objectives are met. • Responsibility for account management of key National Accounts, including growth and development of relationships with clients. • Assist the SVP, Sales & Marketing in planning the Human Resource requirements for the Sales Team. • Work with the Operations Director to ensure that the operational service levels are maintained. • Develop and present an annual Sales Revenue Budget for the region. • Represent the company professionally when engaging with customers or attending events on behalf of the company. Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Minimum 8 years of experience leading people in a managerial role in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Experience managing in the Supply Chain Management field is considered an asset, • Excellent Human Resource skills: coaching, mentoring, performance management, • Strong communication skills: excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, • Excellent leadership ability, team management, interpersonal and employee development skills, • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen, • Progressive knowledge of the transportation industry including competition and trends.
