Our client is a leader in asset-based transportation with operations across Canada. They are looking for a customer service manager to be based in Mississauga. As a Customer Service Manager you will uphold corporate policy, procedure, direction and culture; ensuring program objectives and goals are met. This must be accomplished by effective written and oral communication, cultivation of relationships both internal and external, and providing leadership, supervision and support. Specific responsibilities include: - Provide structure education, information, tools, training and support to new and existing staff - Working as a team member of the Operations Management Team to affect group strategies to achieve departmental goal. - Develop relationships and establish themselves as a point of contact for any escalation of customer concerns within our network - Excellent understanding of all clients, their stage of development, their operations requirements and our system of serving them. He or she must be able to lead others to achieve or exceed the target service goals - Daily communication, training and ongoing development of a solid working relationship with all customer service staff. - Engage in other projects and activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned by the Director, Eastern Operations or the Executive. Our Ideal Candidate will possess: - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team - Excellent human resource skills: coaching, mentoring, performance management. - Progressive knowledge of the transportation industry including competition and trends. - Strong customer service and relationship-building skills - Strong communication skills: excellent oral, written and presentation skills, as well as adult learning. - Strong organizational skills: time management, project planning, multi-tasking. - The ability to thrive in a fast-pace, deadline-oriented environment
